community groups
We are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love. (Ephesians 4:15-16)
Our vision for Community Groups at RMC:
Community Groups at RMC exist to help people experience the life changing power of the Gospel in relationship with others. We have a number of groups that meet during the week in and around the city in members’ homes. By connecting with one another, sharing life in all its joy and pain, praying regularly with and for one another, and learning the gospel together, the body of Christ is built up and equipped to serve one another and our city.
Our goals for Community Groups at RMC:
1. Mutual Care
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. (John 13:34-35)
2. Scripture Discussion and Application
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped fore very good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
3. Prayer
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
4. Ministry Mindset
Whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:43-45)
